Australian Beer Fest 2007
The 2007 Australian Beer Festival held at 'The Rocks' in Sydney was a most enjoyable day for all whereby punters enjoyed a day of sipping beers from Australia's finest breweries.
The Australian Heritage Hotel hosted the event with Outback Brewery putting on it's fine range of beers along with such brewers as Snowy Mountains, Red Oak, Fish Rock, Mudgee Brewing and many more.
Throughout the day patrons we encouraged to vote for their favourite beer via voting slips which were collected and counted by the hotels promotion team, a result that proudly announced Outback Brewery to be the winner for the flagship Chilli Beer.
The People's Choice Trophy adds to the growing collection of Medals from the Australian International Beer Awards, awarded to Outback Brewery. These include 1 Gold and 2 Bronze for the Chilli Beer, a Bronze for their Pale Ale and more recently a Silver for the Black Opal.
The Chilli Beer is a wonderful well balanced amber ale that has a smooth but subtle chilli after taste without the intense heat.
